Speech Delay:

A number of terms are used to describe speech delays. They include:

• Phonological delays and disorders
• Articulation delays
• Dispraxia ( DVD Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia, CAS Childhood Apraxia of Speech)

Treatments vary according to the severity of the delay/disorder. Following assessment, a treatment approach, will be decided on by the clinician and a program of regular individual therapy sessions will be organised with the parent.
